At long last ...
On November 5, 2008, after 2 years, 8 months, 2 weeks, and 5 days of waiting, we FINALLY received THE call!!!
Here’s what we know so far …
Her Chinese name is Jing Hai Lan.
She was born 12/16/07 in the Jiangxi Province, and she is in foster care.
On July 20, she weighed 13.7 pounds (a tiny little thing) and she was 26.4 inches long.
She can hold her head up when she is on her stomach and she can roll over. She can pass toys between her hands and pick up beans with her fingers. She locates sounds and can follow the direction of sounds. She laughs out loud (yeah!!!) and distinguishes strangers. She is closest to her foster mother, knows her name, and recognizes facial expressions.
She is a deep sleeper, but active, and
We have not seen her photos yet (they’ll arrive tomorrow) but she has lots of hair and there may be red highlights in it! She has cute little cheeks, and a tiny little nose.
